Grandparent Respite
Program for grandparents/guardians age 55 or older in Northern Nevada raising their grandchild(ren) or other relative(s) under age 18 without support from the biological parents. Funds are available for childcare costs, such as babysitters, daycare, after-school programs, etc.
The child(ren) cannot be legally adopted or in foster care. The biological parent(s) cannot live in the same home, nor be the paid providers of care for the child(ren). This program is available without income restrictions and temporary situations are acceptable.
Our service area covers Nevada counties of Churchill, Douglas, Elko, Eureka, Humboldt, Lander, Lyon, Mineral, Pershing, Storey, Washoe, White Pine, and Carson City. Easy application process! Please contact us to apply by emailing admin@elkofrc.org or call 775-753-7352.
